Obviously these pictures you're seeing are not of the run down areas of the city haha anyway, we had been on the right tram for two stops when an announcement was made in Czech and everyone started getting off the tram. Thank god this one lady spoke english and she told us that there had been an accident and the street was blocked, so the tram couldn't move. So we all got off and started walking back in the direction of the train station we had arrived at. We ended up where we started but by the time we got there the crash had been cleared up and we ended up getting back on the same tram we had been on before the accident hahahaha The trip on the tram was so bizarre there were pissed off locals who were clearly annoyed at our suitcases, this old man with an ancient hand held radio playing the random old songs pretty loud and smoking a cigarette, a young guy who kept putting the old guys cigarette out, a lady that for no reason whatsoever decided to sit where I had been standing (even though there were tons of open spots) but in the end we made to our hotel area safe and hungry. Finding the hotel was a whole other story. The streets were quite thin and no where near straight, we had to go up a hill with our big suitcases, and the cobblestone was making the whole process quite loud. The hotel was in the embassies area and on our way up we passed policemen, journalists, and a group of people who seemed to be waiting for some sort of news or announcement being made at one of them and in the middle of all this there was us asking around where was the street to our hotel. But we made it there and as soon as we were all settled we finally got around to eating lunch...at 4pm!
